Southern Burner Gas Heaters
Available for Natural Gas or L.P. Gas, the Southern Burner heaters are specifically
designed for greenhouse use. By circulating warm air throughout the greenhouse
from the ground up, these units simulate the natural heat rays of sunshine.
Heat is not "radiated", because radiant heat rises directly to the
top of the greenhouse. Southern Burner heaters can maintain temperatures evenly
from floor to ceiling within 5 to 7 degrees, while preserving fuel economy.

A-1 Model
|
The Model A-1 Unit is an enclosed flame heater that requires venting to the outside of the greenhouse. It also needs a fresh or combustible air intake from outside. The A-1 is 16.3 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep, and 25 inches tall, constructed of non-rusting mill polished aluminum outer shell, supporting a 24 gauge aluminized steel firebox with vertical flues for maximum air circulation, and an enclosed stainless steel burner rated at 25,000 BTU. This heater must be vented with a 3 inch vent pipe for proper draft.

C-1 Model
|
The Model C-1 Unit is an open flame heater that does not need to be vented. Although it does require a fresh or combustible air intake from outside of the greenhouse. The C-1 is round in design, 12.5 inches in diameter and 22 inches tall, constructed of non-rusting mill polished aluminum shell supporting a stainless steel burner rated at 20,000 BTU.
Southern Burner heaters are equipped with millivolt controls and a wall mounted thermostat that require no electricity for operation, and has a temperature range from 35°-75°F. Selecting a temperature setting will allow the heater to cycle on and off regardless of the time. The thermostat can be mounted up to 25 feet from the heater, and should be out of direct sunlight. The controls have a safety cut-off feature. If the pilot flame should go out for any reason, the millivolt control would shut off all gas to the heater. Pilot must be manually re-lit before heater will operate. Heaters using L.P. gas need a regulator on the L.P. tank.

Champion Evaporative Coolers
Evaporative air-conditioning systems help keep your greenhouse comfortable
and plants protected, even during intense Summer heat. By using the naturally
cooling effect of water, the circulated air temperature is lowered by 15 to
20 degrees F.
In addition, this process returns humidity to the greenhouse air, and assists in filtering out dust particles. Fan speed may be manually controlled, and an optional thermostat is available. Coolers require very little maintenance, yet the pads can be easily removed and cleaned with a garden hose as needed.
Evaporative units provide clean, fresh, cool air for your greenhouse, and are many times more cost efficient than conventional refrigerated air-conditioners.
